You're really starting to get the mechanics down and now you're looking for the right tone or timbre.
Hard to go wrong with an Otto Link hard rubber mouthpiece.

A 6* is the great tip opening to start.
.095 is an excellent, open tip for a production tenor mouthpiece.
Anything larger and the geometry can start to get out of whack.

The Tone Edge has an open, round chamber which lets you attain a dark, rich sound.

This is a new mouthpiece. Anything that looks like a flaw is more probably dust or glare that crept in during the photography.
