Okay...long story.
A year or so ago a Chinese manufacturer, Kanee, contacted me in regards to carrying their HR mouthpieces.
They sent me samples. Upon evaluation, the configuration and quality was inconsistent.
Inconsistent to the point where I could not easily sell the mouthpieces.

Perhaps 6 months later, they instituted a greater degree of quality control, as well as introducing additional models of mouthpieces.
Confusingly, their "Professional" line of mouthpieces was the cheaper line.
While their "Custom" line of mouthpieces was more expensive and better suited for pro players.
The "Custom" mouthpieces are most easily distinguished by the metal band on the shank.

Their "Custom" line had five models of mouthpieces.
The Tenor had "O", "V" and "Z" models.
The Alto had "K", "M" "V" and "Z" models.

Upon evaluation, the Alto "Z" model was the best playing.
The "Z" alto mouthpieces are free blowing with very good resonance. They have a substantial baffle and medium chamber.

To further evaluate the consistency of production, I ordered six "Z" alto mouthpieces.
When those arrived, the consistency and playability of the mouthpieces still had a lot of variability.
One of the six was excellent; one was very good; two were good; and two were mediocre.
I am selling the six mouthpieces as being "Hand Selected".
I am calling the excellent one, "Premiere +".
The very good one, "Premiere".
The good ones, "Plus".
The mediocre ones are just called "Hand Select".
They are priced accordingly.

You're welcome to come in and try them. Perhaps you'll disagree with the evaluations made and with your particular embouchure and style of playing, you may think that one of the less expensive mouthpieces is an excellent player.

I believe ProWinds is carrying the so-called "Professional" line.
