BARI Woodwinds "Richie Cole"

Looking at a BARI Woodwinds catalog, I see their "R.C. Model" Hard Rubber Alto Sax Mouthpiece.
I am not sure why the catalog does not refer to Richie Cole in any way.
The box the mouthpiece is in, does say "Richie Cole" on the end.
The catalog goes on to say:
- Dark, Edgy sound
- Smaller Chamber
- Designed for jazz players who need more warmth without sacrificing projection

This was originally based off of a Meyer mouthpiece.
The more I look at the metal band on the shank of the BARI Woodwinds hard rubber mouthpieces, the more I think they aren't just a band to keep the shank from splitting, but rather, an integral part of the process of manufacturing these mouthpieces. I believe I can see an odd seam in the chamber of the mouthpiece, at the throat, where the bore meets the chamber.
My recollection is that the BARI Woodwind "Hybrid" also had a similar seam.

I managed to not get a particularly good shot of the shank-end of the mouthpiece.
The metal band is perhaps the same thickness as the hard rubber bore sleeve that is inside the metal band.

For this page to be really useful, it needs a review of the playing characteristics of this mouthpiece...perhaps with some sound samples.
It would also be nice to know the facing length, if only in general terms (short, med., or long).
Also be nice to compare against the Meyer "Richie Cole", the Meyer "G" Series and other Meyers.
